Plymouth Whitemarsh’s Marching Colonials take first place at Cavalcade of Bands Championship

Plymouth Whitemarsh High School’s Marching Colonials recently won first place in the Cavalcade of Bands Championship in Dallastown.

The Marching Colonials’ show, “The Golden Rule,” received a score of 92.85 and won awards for High Colorguard, High Overall Effect, and High Visual. The cavalcade featured fourteen bands from across Pennsylvania belonging to the Independence A, Yankee Open, Patriot Freedom division.

“We do not set out to win competitions but it certainly is nice and a wonderful validation of all of our hard work,” said Director Bobbey Biddle. “Watching our students grow, improve, and excel is always the greatest gift.”

The band performed pieces such as “Nessun Dorma” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and included a message of reminding everyone of the power of treating others the way they would like to be treated.
