Lafayette Hill resident joins Villanova Athletics as chief athletics revenue officer and deputy athletic director

Villanova Athletics announced this week that Lafayette Hill resident Scott Walcoff joined the organization in September 2025 as the Chief Athletics Revenue Officer and Deputy Athletic Director. In this role, Walcoff will lead strategy and operations for all external and commercial functions within the department.

Walcoff has 25 years of experience in the sports and entertainment industry and comes to Villanova after most recently spending 20 years nearby at Temple University, where he was Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations. Walcoff began at the Liacouras Center in August of 2001 before joining Temple Athletics as an assistant athletic director in 2005 then earning several promotions to his most recent position.

In his role at Temple, Walcoff oversaw marketing, ticket sales, and customer engagement teams with an emphasis on revenue generation in addition to sport admin roles with the spirit squad, women’s basketball, women’s rowing, and men’s crew teams. He and his marketing/external teams at Temple won eight national awards.

Prior to Temple, Walcoff worked as a marketing coordinator at Comcast-Spectacor, a promotions coordinator for Ticketmaster and a writer/editor for both the Media Theater for the Performing Arts and The Sports Network, as well as the sports director for WHHS-FM.

Walcoff is a 1997 graduate of Syracuse University, earning his degree from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
