Conshohocken’s borough council to consider purchasing property next to future home of public safety facility

On the March 4th agenda for Conshohocken’s borough council is whether to consider approving Resolution 2026-01, which authorizes the purchase/transfer of ownership of the property located at 1105 Fayette Street. This property is located next to the former Moore Chevrolet, which the borough purchased in 2024 to redevelop as a public safety facility that would become the home of Conshohocken Fire Company No. 2 and Narberth Ambulance.

The property has been owned by Ratoskey & Trainer since 2021, when the company purchased it for $392,000. On the 7,800 square foot property is a single family home with four bedrooms and two baths. The 2,032 square foot home was built in 1920.

The borough council is allowed to discuss the acquisition of property behind closed doors (as they may be in a bidding process with other interested parties). As this is the first time the issue will be raised in public, this is the first opportunity to learn the borough’s plan for the property.
