According to a 2025 National Apartment Association (NAA) survey “The Ongoing Evolution of Amenity Spaces,” 95% of apartment industry professionals who responded indicated that fitness centers with state-of-the-art equipment as one of the most important features at a property. And since the equipment itself has become more high-tech, technology and connectivity ranked just below the fitness center as an important amenity.
Fitness centers have consistently come out at or near the top of desired amenities in resident surveys over the years. Prior surveys by the NAA indicated that 30% of residents said they would not even consider renting in a community without a fitness center.
When The Galman Group acquired the Plymouth Flats property in 2025, the Jenkintown-based property management firm envisioned creating a space for its residents that featured the most sought-after amenities. One year later, the newly renovated 3,330-square-foot clubhouse was opened to residents.
“Today’s renters are looking for more than four walls and a roof. They want a place that feels like home, with amenities that make everyday life more convenient, comfortable and connected,” said Jason Bailey, President of The Galman Group. “We routinely engage with residents and gather their input to help guide decisions about the amenities offered at our properties.”

The clubhouse includes a fitness center, resident lounge with billiards, shuffleboard and an entertainment kitchen area. It is designed to serve as an extension of residents’ homes, offering spaces where they can stay active, socialize, entertain and connect with their neighbors.
The Plymouth Flats is a 267-unit community located at 349 Chilton Ct., Plymouth Meeting. It offers one- and two-bedroom thoughtfully designed homes with spacious open floor plans, perfect for relaxing or entertaining. Stylish kitchens boast elegant finishes and modern appliances, including in-unit washers and dryers. The community provides extra storage availability, on-site parking, an on-site management team, and 24-hour emergency maintenance.
Along with investing in the new clubhouse, the Galman Group has been upgrading units across the property, creating premier and luxury pet-friendly living spaces.
“From the outset, we committed to making meaningful investments in the property to create the modern, vibrant living experience today’s residents expect,” said Bailey. “Our residents have already begun to experience the benefits of these upgrades and investments. We encourage anyone considering a home in the Plymouth Meeting or Conshohocken area to come see the community for themselves.”
The Galman Group’s mission is “Creating Great Places To Live.” With that goal in mind, it has become a leader in the Delaware Valley’s apartment industry. It owns and manages more than 10,000 quality apartments and condominiums in over 61 communities.
