According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, Upper Merion Township’s Board of Supervisors has approved a developer’s plan to redevelop a property across from the Valley Forge Casino Resort with a Topgolf. The approval came during the August 15th meeting of the supervisors.
What is Topgolf? Here is how it is described on GolfDigest.com:
Short version: three-story-tall driving range with bar and kitchen. The range is populated by several dozen bays, which you and your group can rent by the hour. Each bay is essentially a private driving range tee with a waitstaff. Six can play at a time, all ages. Honestly, it feels like going to a golf version of a bowling alley.
The developer, Provco, is the same developer trying to bring a Wawa to Conshohocken.
The plan is for Topgolf to open in 2022.
