National Dog Show in Oaks starts today. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

The National Dog Show presented by Purina kicks off today (Saturday, November 20) at 8:30 a.m. at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online or at the door. The show concludes at 5:00 p.m. Be sure to review the show’s vaccine policy before purchasing tickets.

The event will continue on Sunday, November 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets are also still available for Sunday.

This year’s show, held by the Philadelphia Kennel Club, will mark the 20th anniversary of the competition being broadcast by NBC on Thanksgiving Day and will be broadcast to over 20 million viewers following the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. 

The National Dog Show is hosted by The Kennel Club of Philadelphia (KCP), and they have hosted the shows annually since 1933. Philadelphia staged America’s first dog show in 1879.

Tickets, priced at $16 for vaccinated individuals 12 and older, are available at www.NationalDogShow.com. In conjunction with recommendations from national, state, and local officials, the Kennel Club of Philadelphia and The National Dog Show will require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for entry to the Expo Center.
