At 1:46 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the SORA East office building at the intersection of East Elm and Harry streets after a vehicle struck the building and damaged the gas line, which resulted in a fire. The driver of the vehicle died.

PECO was called to the scene to dig up the line to shut it off.

The building suffered fire and water damage.
