Luxe Color Lounge has closed its doors after 21 years in Conshohocken. The studio was first opened as Splash Hair Studio by Elaine Travis, who eventually changed the name to focus on her specialty as a colorist. Her daughter, Brynne Travis, took over the business from 2019 to 2024.

Since leaving the day-to-day operations of the salon, Elaine moved to Florida with her husband, Jeff, and has built a career as a hair color educator, which includes authoring the book A Colorful Journey.

Brynn launched My Salon Concierge in 2023, a company that provided lead generation and marketing solutions to salons.
