Alice Bakery & Confectionery to Join Spring Mill Farmers’ Market

This past Sunday marked the opening of the Spring Mill Farmers’ Market and based on the turnout and what all the patrons were saying, it was a rousing success. Capitalizing on that success, the Spring Mill Farmers’ Market is adding a new vendor this coming Sunday, May 28th. Alice Bakery & Confectionery will be the resident baker at the market this Sunday and for the rest of the season.

You may have heard of Alice before. They have brick and mortar bakeries in North Wales and downtown Ambler and they are also a strong presence at the Ambler Farmers’ Market on Saturdays. They are known for artisan breads, artisan chocolates, sticky buns, cup cakes, crumb cakes and more. Dennis Darr is the owner, head chef and head baker at Alice. His love of baking started when he was young at the knee of his his grandmother, Alice. One of his fondest baking memories is of the 3rd grade when he made fortune cookies for his classmates…he’s been baking for a long time.

The Spring Mill Farmers’ Market is open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, every Sunday from now until the end of October. The market is located at 1001 E Hector Street in Conshohocken.
