AT&T improves wireless service with new cell on lower Fayette Street

This week, AT&T installed a small cell on top of a Borough of Conshohocken-owned utility pole along Fayette Street in front of the Great American Pub.

The borough council voted 7-0 to improve the installation in October of 2018. According to the minutes of the meeting, AT&T made the request after its engineers identified areas within Conshohocken that demand more data and faster connectivity. The representative of AT&T at the meeting stated, “small cells provide a better mobile LTE experience and pave the way for 5G and future developments in technologies.”
