If you use Butler Pike between Germantown Pike and Flourtown Road (and Plymouth going the other direction) on a regular basis, you are out of luck. Montgomery County announced today that the bridge for the railroad tracks has structural issues.
From Whitemarsh Township’s website:
Montgomery County Roads and Bridges, advised Butler Pike will be closed between Germantown & Flourtown, immediately, and for the unforeseen future due to structural road issues at the railroad bridge. The County is working on a detour plan to be approved by PENNDOT.
We think they mean unforeseeable, not “unforeseen” in the above statement.
More to come.
