So whoever is in charge of proofing absentee ballots in Montgomery County is going to be in a little trouble on Monday. The “Official Democratic Ballot” for those in the Colonial School District has a misspelling. The name of Beth Patruno, who is running for Colonial School Board as part of the Protecting Colonial’s Future slate of candidates, is spelled “Beth Pawtruno.” We are told the Republican ballots have the same mistake, but we have not seen visual proof.

We looked to see if sample ballots have been posted to the county’s website yet, and they have been. On those ballots, the name is spelled correctly. So it looks like the mistake was caught after the absentee ballots were printed. Patruno tells us no one contacted her to notify her of the mistake.
