The Philadelphia Business Journal reported on March 25th that Allied Universal Security Services plans to lay off 72 employees in its Conshohocken office. Allied has offices worldwide and provides security services. Its Conshohocken office is located at 161 Washington Street.

The security services company noted in a March 20 Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) that it is undergoing what it’s called a restructuring of business operations that will result in certain positions being “phased out.” The cuts are expected to take place incrementally from May to September, according to the filing. They will impact employees based at the firm’s eastern corporate headquarters at 161 Washington St. in Conshohocken.

An array of job titles are included in the cuts, including accountants, engineers, tech support, billing positions and other financial roles, according to the filing.
