Conshohocken Fire Department now certified to offer medical support

The Borough of Conshohocken recently announced that the Conshohocken Fire Department has successfully completed and implemented a QRS or Quick Response Service. The certification comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Health Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.

The announcement describes QRS as follows:

A QRS agency is an entity that provides emergency medical service to a community in a non-transport quick response capability. The Conshohocken Fire Department has medically licensed staff on duty. The staff can provide basic life support in conjunction with or prior to the arrival of an ambulance. The QRS service is dispatched by the county to all medical calls in Conshohocken Borough 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
