Conshohocken man arrested for attempted murder after shooting in Phoenixville

A Conshohocken man, Savelen Frazier-Sallad, has been arrested for attempted murder and other charges after a fight that started in a bar in Phoenixville led to a man being shot on the street. The incident took place just after midnight on Saturday, September 30th.

According to a press release from the Borough of Phoenixville Police Department, Frazier-Sallad and a 25-year-old man from Quakertown got into an argument and were thrown out of PJ Ryan’s Pub located at 233 Bridge Street. Once outside the shooting took place and the victim was struck in the hip. Witnesses told police that Frazier-Sallad fled the scene. The victim was treated at Paoli Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

After fleeing the area, Frazier-Sallad called 911 to turn himself in. Police arrested Frazier-Sallad without incident and recovered a semi-automatic (40 caliber) pistol.

Frazier-Sallad was arraigned on September 30th and bail was set for $1 million. He was unable to post bail and is currently being held at Chester County Prison.
