Matthew Donald Benson, a 24,year old living on the 1800 block of Butler Pike in Conshohocken, recently plead guilty to possessing child pornography and is headed to jail for nine to 23 months. His sentence starts on September 2nd. The Times Herald reports:

Benson, who will be supervised by the county probation department’s sex offender unit during the probationary period, is eligible for the jail’s work release program during his period of incarceration.

Benson previously pleaded guilty to felony charges of possessing child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility in connection with incidents that occurred between October 2014 and February 2015.

An investigation of Benson began in October 2014 when investigators working with an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force discovered several child pornographic images were uploaded to a particular Internet address that was later linked to Benson.
