Conshohocken Native Davy Johnson Helps Lead NYU Hockey into National Championship Tournament

Conshohocken native Davy Johnson, a senior forward on New York University’s ice hockey team, has helped lead the school to its first opportunity to claim a national championship on the ice. Johnson and the team will be competing in the ACHA National Championship Tournament in Salt Lake City starting March 20th.

NYU reached the national championship tournament by winning the Super East Collegiate Hockey League Championship. In the game leading up to the final, Johnson was named MVP after scoring two goals, including the game winner. It was the second time this season Johnson scored two goals during a game and the second time NYU won due to Johnson scoring a game winning shot.
