Conshohocken native serving as a Grand Marshal of the Philadelphia Veterans Parade

Conshohocken native Private First Class Jacob Ruser, who turns 99 in December, has been named co-Grand Marshal of the Philadelphia Veterans Parade being held on Sunday, November 5th. The parade will be broadcast by 6ABC starting at 12:30 p.m.

PFC Ruser served as a combat medic and nurse during World War II. His service included D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge.

PFC Ruser is sharing the honor of being a Grand Marshal with Corporal Benjamin Berry of Willow Grove. Corporal Berry celebrated his 100th birthday in September.
