Real estate Movoto.com published a list of the top suburbs around Philadelphia for singles and we were surprise to not find Conshohocken on it. The No. 1 place according to the list is Marlton, NJ and the Top 10 includes Ardmore, Audubon (NJ), Drexel Hill, Willow Grove, Bryn Mawr, Feasterville, Haddon Heights, King of Prussia and Barrington (NJ).

What factors did Movoto.com use to develop its list? It looked at all of the Philadelphia’s suburbs in terms of these criteria:

• Unmarried population
• Difference between male and female population (the lower, the better)
• Singles amenities per capita (restaurants and arts/entertainment listings)
• Walk Score
• Cost of living

One problem we have with this list is that it doesn’t look at the numbers in an educated way. Take for example King of Prussia, the article states there are, “122 restaurants and 19 arts and entertainment venues.” It doesn’t take into consideration how many of those 122 restaurants are part of a food court in a mall. Quantity doesn’t necessarily measure quality.
