Conshohocken’s Borough Council approves switch from all apartments to mix of condos and apartments for riverfront development

During a March 20th meeting of Conshohocken’s Borough Council, the council members voted 7-0 to approved an amendment to a settlement agreement that dates back almost a decade that involves a multi-family development at 401/433 Washington Street that straddles the Borough of Conshohocken/Whitemarsh Township border on the Schuylkill River.

The amendment involved the reduction in the number of apartments from 598 apartments to 481 units that will now be a mix of apartments and owner-occupied condominiums. This new plan reduces the number of bedrooms from 804 to 690.

In the renderings at the top of the article, an apartment building (there will be two) is shown left and the condo buildings (there will be four) are pictured to the right.

More to come when it breaks ground (they have been clearing the property over the past two months).
