Conshohocken’s Borough Council to hold meeting on April 17th

Conshohocken’s Borough Council is scheduled to hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 17th at 7:00 p.m. You can view the agenda here.

A highlight included under new business is the consideration of “approving the Third Addendum to the Solid Waste Disposal Agreement with Covanta.” Conshohocken sends its trash to Covanta’s plant just outside the borough to be burned.

Under old business, the council members will consider authorizing the intent to award a contract for the 2024 Liquid Fuels Road Program. This program funds projects such as the repair and maintenance of roads and streets. In addition, there will be consideration of a memorandum of understanding in regards to an agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.

There are also two events that need approval. The Conshohocken Electric Force, a youth track program, wants to hold a Juneteenth event in a borough park and the Conshy Corner Tavern seeks the closure of a road for a fundraiser block party.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17th at 7:00 p.m. at the borough hall at 400 Fayette Street.
