During the May 8th edition of the Preston & Steve Show on 93.3 WMMR, it was announced that Conshohocken resident Kathy Romano will be departing the show after 22 years.
During the show, it was never specifically stated why she was leaving, but Romano did mention on social media that it wasn’t her choice or a decision made by Preston and Steve. Beasley Broadcasting, which owns WMMR, has been cutting on-air personalities and other staff at stations here in Philadelphia and across the nation.
Below is the message from Romano posted to social media:
After 22 amazing years, my time with the Preston & Steve Show on 93.3 WMMR has come to an end.
This was in no way my choice or Preston & Steve’s choice. We are devastated.
It’s been the ride of a lifetime sharing mornings with the best team and the most incredible listeners.
Thank you, for welcoming me into your lives every day.
This isn’t goodbye – just turning the dial to what’s next.
Stay tuned.
