Canadian native Kyle Wilson, who has a condo in Conshohocken, is currently playing for the Lavtvia-based Dinamo Riga professional hockey team in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The KHL is made up of teams throughout Russia, plus the Czech Republic, Belarus, Croatia and Latvia.

The KHL season started in August and Wilson is off to a great start. He scored the winning goal in opening game of the 2013 Prague Hockey Cup and was named a Player of the Week in mid-September for being the “Best Attacker” after scoring four goals in three games on the road.

Wilson has played in North America for Colgate University, a handful of AHL teams including the Hershey Bears, the Washington Capitals, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Nashville Predators.
