The Borough of Conshohocken announced today that the parking garage on West First Avenue (marked with a red dot above) has been closed due to the recently started construction of SORA West. When completed, SORA West will include an office building that will be the corporate headquarters for AmerisourceBergen, a hotel, restaurant, public square and a new parking garage.

Once open, the new parking garage will have 150 spaces all day for the public and another 1,000 after hours.

Until then, the temporary public parking after hours starting at 6:00 p.m. is located at 125 East Elm Street (marked with a green dot above) which is a bit more of a walk to the downtown core and up a big hill. There is no cost to park.

If you don’t recognize the location of the temporary parking, it is the office building across Harry Street from the Outbound Station.

This situation will last approximately two years.
