Covanta Response: Conshohocken Sends Out Notice. Crickets from Plymouth Township

We have been reporting on the Covanta issue since early this morning. Last night there was a loss of power at the facility and it shutdown. That process creates a lot of noise and it woke up those living near the plant. There are also numerous reports of an odor.

The plant is located in the Conshohocken section of Plymouth Township. Thus far, as of 10:40 a.m., there has been no information provided to the public from the township.

The Borough of Conshohocken sent out a notice just after 10:00 a.m. via email and posted to social media the following:

The Borough of Conshohocken has been notified that there was an electrical outage at Covanta. Residents may contact Covanta’s community hotline number at 610-569-9372 with any questions or concerns.
