Daily coronavirus cases in Montgomery County top 300 for the first time

The daily number of Coronavirus cases topped 300 for the first time since the start of the pandemic according to the Montgomery County COVID-19 data hub.

Since our last report on November 9th, the number of cases reported daily has been 159 on November 10th, 201 on November 11th, 311 on November 12th, and 309 on November 13th. In the early months of the pandemic, the highest one day total was 200 on April 18th. The countywide total since the start of the pandemic is 16,125.

There have been two additional deaths due to Coronavirus since our last report, one on November 10th and one on November 13th. This brings the total number of deaths in the county since the start of the pandemic to 848.

The 14-day PCR positivity rate has now broken the 5% threshold that indicates the suppression of the virus. As of November 8th, the rate is 5.71%.

As of Sunday, November 15th, there are 181 patients hospitalized in Montgomery County due to Coronavirus, with 29 patients requiring a ventilator. There were 115 hospitalizations due to Coronavirus on November 9th.

The number of cases from the most recent 14 days is 1,128 more than the 14-days prior. The most recent seven days is 1,471 more than the previous seven days.

Locally, here are the current numbers:

  • Conshohocken is at 115 cases, which is six more than since November 9th. There have been no deaths.
  • West Conshohocken is at 16 cases, which four more than since November 9th. There have been no deaths
  • Plymouth Township is at 319 cases, which is 24 more than since November 9th. There have been eight deaths, which is one more than since November 9th
  • Whitemarsh Township is at 357 342 cases, which is 15 more than since November 9th. There have been 23 deaths.
