Update – The proposed data center ordinance has been removed from the January agenda and will likely appear on the February agenda for the planning commission.

On the January 8th agenda of the West Conshohocken Planning Commission is the review of a draft ordinance that would amend the HI [Heavy Industrial] Zoning District for Data Centers. In 2025, West Conshohocken’s borough council voted to hire a consultant to draft the ordinance. You can view a draft of this ordinance (that dates back to November 2025) here. It starts on page 76.

The planning commission’s role in the process is to review the proposed ordinance and consider recommending to the borough council whether it should be adopted. The council will then decide whether to consider it for adoption.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the West Conshohocken Borough Hall.
