On the agenda for the March 22nd meeting of Whitemarsh Township’s Planning Commission is a review of an application that seeks a conditional use to operate a dog grooming business at 424 Germantown Pike in Lafayette Hill within the Shops of Lafayette Hill. Person service businesses must obtain a conditional use to open within the Villiage Commerical District (Sub-district 1).

The space in question within the shopping center was previously the home to Eyeglasses Etc., which consolidated to one location in Flourtown.

The planning commission can make a recommendation to the township’s board of supervisors on whether to grant the conditional use. A hearing is scheduled for April 14th before the board of supervisors.
