Presented annually by the Chestnut Hill Community Association (CHCA), this year’s tour takes place on Saturday, December 7th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will feature five of the neighborhood's homes decorated for the holidays. Get into the Holiday Spirit with a day spent touring a variety of beautiful homes and find inspiration for your Holiday celebrations, while experiencing the rich architectural heritage of Chestnut Hill. The tour is self-guided and attendees have the option of driving to the homes, or riding one of our special event trolleys. Tickets are $45 for CHCA members and $50 for non-members; Group Tickets-Buy 9 tickets get the 10th one free ($400 for a group of 10). Princess Grace of Monaco Exhibit To celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the birth of Grace Patricia Kelly of Philadelphia, what she meant to Philadelphia and eventually to the world, the Chestnut Hill Community Association will display memorabilia on loan from the East Falls Historical Society of the Grace Kelly Gallery at our hospitality tour stop, located at Chestnut Hill College. Chestnut Hill College’s glorious rotunda with its grand piano and the adjoining parlor is a perfect location to view Grace’s Christmas cards from the Palace showing her family over the years. View personal invitations to events at the palace to family members, plus a signed and numbered portrait of Grace dressed in the Order of St. Charles, an honorary title bestowed on her by Prince Rainier as a present for their first Christmas as husband and wife. Attendees will also see framed posters of her eleven movies and dolls dressed as characters in her movies. Of particular interest will be the original programs of Grace’s appearances at East Fall’s Old Academy Players. The exhibit will be on display throughout the month of December. Visit chestnuthill.org for more information and to buy tickets for the tour.
