FREE COMMUNITY EVENT Ending the Silence - A program designed and facilitated by National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Montco to raise awareness and change perceptions about mental health conditions for Middle & High School Students and their Parents. WHAT: Parents and Youth will: • Learn about warning signs, gain insight into some of the issues youths are confronting • Hear from a youth who has experienced mental health issues and benefit from understanding the challenges they encountered, including what hurt and what helped. • Learn how to provide the support youth need but might be too nervous to ask for! EVENT DETAILS: • Doors Open at 6PM for pizza, conversation, resource info: NAMI Montco PA, Youth Connection - Conshohocken UMC, Montgomery County Mobile Crisis Access Services, Montgomery County, PA Peer Support: Teen Talk Lines | Access Services. Peyton Heart Project, ALC Counseling and Therapy, SAGA Therapy Collective • Program begins at 6:30PM with a combined presentation for Youth and Parents - Ending the Silence - by Bernadette Selgrath, followed by separate Youth and Adult presentations by Peer Presenters Jenn Martorana and Jessica Moyer. Each Peer Group will have a Q&A session.
