Once a month, this group reads a book from Lauren Tarshis’s “I Survived…” series, short historical fiction books that cover major natural and man-made disasters and events throughout history. At the meeting, we discuss the book and do an activity related to the topic. This month we’ll be reading I Survived the Great Alaska Earthquake, 1964 and doing experiments to understand why earthquakes occur. This monthly book club is for children in grades 3-5. Registration is required.
