Fire at Marshall Lee Towers in Conshohocken

There was a fire at Marshall Lee Towers on West 3rd Avenue on Monday, March 31st, just before 3:00 p.m. Marshall Lee Towers is a Montgomery County Housing Authority-owned apartment building seven stories high with 80 efficiency and one-bedroom units.

According to Plymouth Fire Company No. 1, which assisted the Conshohocken Fire Department, firefighters encountered heavy smoke on the top floor of the building. Residents on the upper floors were evacuated, while those in the lower floors were notified to shelter in place.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and helped ventilate the building.
