Musician Dan Rendine is a former Conshohocken resident who recently recorded a Christmas song, “Blue on Christmas,” at Elm Street Studios in Conshy the day after Jason Kelce and Stevie Nicks recorded their duet for A Philly Special Christmas’ latest album in the same studio.
Rendine shared the following about his song:
The name of this song is “Blue on Christmas” and I wrote it because I wanted to say it’s OK not to feel OK during the holidays despite all the pressure of trying to live up to the seasonal hype. I hope it gives some consolation to anyone who is feeling in a mood this time of year and helps them make room for the joy that season can bring by acknowledging that it’s OK to feel blue on Christmas too.
Rendine plays regularly at Jasper’s Backyard and Gypsy Saloon and will be performing at the Conshohocken Winter Market on Saturday, October 14th at 12:30 p.m.
