Four New Tenants Announced for Plymouth Meeting Mall

PREIT, the owner of the Plymouth Meeting Mall, announced this morning four new tenants of the mall. The new tenants, three of which will make their home in the former Macy’s space, are Burlington, Edge Fitness and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Phenix Salon Suites will make its home on the outside of the mall near Whole Foods Market. It was not shared whether this Dick’s was to replace the Dick’s at the Metroplex or a new store.

In a recent announcement, PREIT stated that the former Macy’s would include five eventual tenants. That leaves two more spaces to fill and today’s announcement also shared that PREIT is currently negotiating leases with an arts and crafts purveyor and a craft brewery.

Over the past several years, PREIT has worked to redefine the mall from a retail to lifestyle center (basically a place to go do stuff). It added a lot of restaurants around the perimeter, Dave & Buster’s, CycleBar, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Busy Bees Pottery & Arts Studio, and a Build-a-Bear kiosk. Today, nearly half of the property’s space is dedicated to dining and entertainment.

The new tenants opening in the former Macy’s are all anticipated to open in the spring of 2019. Phenix Salon Suites is slated to open in late 2018.

More to come.
