Free Waffles from Waffatopia on National Waffle Day Weekend

Conshohocken’s Waffatopia is celebrating National Waffle Day on August 24th, 25th and 26th with four giveaways and a donation drive to help Philabundance, the region’s largest hunger relief organization. The four locations to get a free waffle are (and don’t worry, there are two in Conshy):

  • Thursday, August 24th outside Suburban Station at 17th & JFK Boulevard between 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
  • Thursday, August 24th from noon and 2:00 p.m. at 18th and Walnut Streets on Rittenhouse Square
  • Friday, August 25th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Waffary in Conshohocken
  • Saturday, August 26th between 10:00 a.m. and noon at the Waffary in Conshohocken

In conjunction with the giveaways, Waffatopia will donate 1 lb. of waffles to Philabundance for every box of waffles purchased online between National Waffle Day and Saturday, August 26th at midnight. “We’re very blessed to be able to do what we’re passionate about,” said Brian Polizzi. “We love Belgian Liège waffles; we love making them and it gives us great joy to provide others with the opportunity to experience our delectable treats.” “It has also been very important for us to give back to the community,” explained Andrea. “We thought, what better way to incorporate our love of baking than for us to, with the help of customers and loyal Waffatopians, make a significant donation to Philabundance.”

Philabundance is the largest hunger relief organization in the Delaware Valley, serving approximately 90,000 people per week, a third of whom are children and 15% of whom are seniors. “We are grateful to Waffatopia for its support of Philabundance, as 1 in 5 of our neighbors faces hunger, and every pound provides one meal to our neighbors in need,” said the agency’s communication director Stefanie Arck-Baynes. In 2016, Philabundance distributed approximately 24 million pounds of food through its neighborhood distribution programs and partnerships with 350 social service agencies in nine counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
