On the May 13th agenda (view) for the Whitemarsh Township Planning Commission is a conditional use application involving From the Boot seeking to relocate from the Shoppers World Shopping Center to the Shops of Lafayette Hill at 400-404 Germantown Pike in Lafayette Hill (Whitemarsh Township). The space in question is located next to Wawa and was formerly home to Roxy Drug Store, along with an adjacent dental office.
Restaurants seeking to open in the VC-1 Zoning District must seek a conditional use approval from the township’s supervisors. The planning commission will review the application and make a recommendation to the supervisors.
MoreThanTheCurve.com spoke with Marc Ciaffone, owner of From the Boot, who shared that the move will be seamless with no downtime.
The current From the Boot space at Shoppers World has been listed for lease.
Also on the agenda is an application for a Land Development Waiver Request from Whitemarsh Collision located at 4100 Butler Pike in Plymouth Meeting (Whitemarsh Township). The planning commission is tasked with making a recommendation on the request. The land development involves a proposed new 20-space parking lot between the road and the building to replace parking that the applicant has been using on an adjacent lot.
The third item on the agenda is the township’s proposal to subdivide the Abolition Hall property. The township is seeking to subdivide a less than half-acre lot that has an existing home on it, located at 14 Marple Lane. This property would then be sold, and the other portion of the property, which includes the historical buildings, would remain under township ownership. The planning commission is asked to provide a recommendation on the proposed subdivision.
The meeting will be held at the Whitemarsh Township building at 6:30 p.m.
