Investigations still open, but cemetery vandalism cases have gone cold

In February of 2022, three Roman Catholic cemeteries in the Conshohocken section of Plymouth and Whitemarsh townships were vandalized with tombstones being spray-painted with swastikas and other profane phrases.

A reader recently asked us to check in on the investigations. Detective Sergeant Christopher R. Schwartz of the Plymouth Township Police Department shared the following:

With regards to the cemetery investigation, at this time, all investigative leads have been exhausted. The case remains open for investigation if new information is learned or brought forth. We are still concerned with the vandalism incident and encourage anyone with information to contact us.

In Whitemarsh, Police Chief Christopher Ward confirmed that the case is still open.

If you have any information, you can contact the Plymouth Township Police Department at (610) 279-1901 and the Whitemarsh Township Police Department at (610) 825-6530.
