Kloe Unruh

How did you come to live and/or work in Conshohocken?

I just moved to the Philadelphia area from St. Paul, MN in July for my AmeriCorps position at Cradles to Crayons in West Conshohocken.

What do you do (career wise)?

I am doing a year of service as an AmeriCorps Vista and am working as the Community Outreach Coordinator at Cradles to Crayons. We provide children with essential, everyday items, free of charge, so that they feel safe, valued and ready to learn.  I work closely with individuals and organizations that hold product collection drives for us in the community. I love it!

What are you involved in outside of work?

I run with Back On My Feet at the DePaul House in Germantown a few days a week and am involved with an event planning committee for the American Cancer Society. I really enjoy volunteering and am always looking for something else to do.

What do you love most about Conshohocken?

Definitely the sense of community! Conshohocken has such wonderful people and it seems like everyone is always willing to lend a hand and help out a good cause.

What are your favorite places in Conshohocken?

The Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory of course! I really love working there. Aside from that I would say Guppy’s.  We just had our Young Friends of Cradles to Crayons Happy Hour there and it was a ton of fun.
