Lafayette Hill’s Sam Lipkin makes national championship-winning assist to help lead Quinnipiac to first hockey title

Lafayette Hill native Sam Lipkin (No. 28) made the game-winning assist in overtime on April 8th to help lead Quinnipiac University to its first National Championship in men’s hockey. Quinnipiac had been down 2-0 but came back to tie the game and force overtime. Lipkin’s assist came just 10 seconds into overtime.

Lipkin, who plays forward, is in his first year at Quinnipiac. He was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL in 2021.
