Local municipalities declare snow emergencies. Find out where not to park

The forecast for Sunday afternoon into Monday is for significant snow to fall in the area. All of the local municipalities are preparing to plow the streets, which means parking restrictions. This is mainly done through declarations of a snow emergency. Below are restrictions for the four municipalities MoreThanTheCurve.com regularly covers.

The Borough of Conshohocken

In Conshohocken, a snow emergency has been declared to start on Sunday, February 22nd at noon and will remain in effect until Monday, February 23rd at noon. All vehicles parked on snow emergency routes, must be removed prior to the emergency going into effect. Vehicles that have not moved prior to the start of or parked during the snow emergency will be cited and towed by the Conshohocken Police Department.

Snow emergency routes are:

Fayette Street
Both sides from the Conshohocken Borough line at 12th Avenue to the Matsonford Bridge

East 1st Avenue – North Side
From Harry Street to Fayette Street

West 1st Avenue – North Side
From Fayette Street to Forrest Street

Freedly Street – East Side
12th Avenue to the alley north of 11th Avenue

Poplar Street
Elm Street to Washington Street

The Borough of West Conshohocken

In West Conshohocken, a snow emergency has been declared to commence on Saturday, February 21st at 11:00 p.m. through Tuesday, February 24th at noon.

During the emergency, parking is prohibited on either side of Bullock Avenue, Spring Garden Street, and New Dehaven Street. Parking is only permitted on the even number sides of Josephine Ave (100 block only) and Dehaven Avenue.

Plymouth Township

Plymouth Township reminded its residents that on-street parking is limited to the even side of the street on even numbered years. If the snow is 3″ or more, no off-street parking is permitted for 12 hours after the snowfall.

Whitemarsh Township

Whitemarsh Township’s emergency goes into effect on Sunday, February 22nd at 3:00 p.m. Parking on any street within the township shall be limited to the even address side of the street.
