Local post expands to serve more veterans

The Conshohocken VFW Post 1074 is expanding to include members of American Veterans (AMVETS), the nation’s most inclusive Congressionally-chartered veterans service organization. AMVETS is open to all who honorably served in the United States military, including the Reserve and Guard.

Due to this new expansive membership, the complementary organizations will be referred to publicly as the Conshohocken Veterans Association.

There will be a signing of the charter/bylaws and initial election for all officers for AMVETS Post 1074 on Saturday, January 9th at 11:00 a.m. Everyone who is qualified is asked to register to be an AMVETS Pennsylvania state at large member to attend.

Below is the announcement from the post:

New Year, New Name, Same Post 1074. We are always looking for new ways to serve our current veterans and serve new veterans in our area. This commitment goes beyond our veterans to our family members who make up our auxiliary’s and our community that makes up our social members. As we expand our reach to serve all Veterans in our area we are rebranding our public logo. We will always be the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1074. As we add American Veterans AMVETS Post 1074 to our active members and expand our VFW Auxiliary with the AMVETS Auxiliary we are going to use the CVA as our all-inclusive branding. Our mission still continues to serve veterans and our community. As always we thank you all for your support.
