The only member of the Philadelphia Eagles with a connection to Conshohocken, Torrey Smith, has been traded to the Carolina Panthers according to numerous reports. We can’t find any mention of the trade on the Philadelphia Eagles’ website. From ESPN.com:
The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to trade veteran wide receiver Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for cornerback Daryl Worley, sources tell ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Smith, 29, caught 36 passes for 430 yards with two touchdowns for the Super Bowl champion Eagles in 2017, adding 13 catches for 157 yards and a touchdown in the postseason.
Smith sent a cryptic Tweet earlier today that appears to acknowledge a trade was made:
New day….new opportunity #blessed

Smith is married to a Conshohocken native and Plymouth Whitemarsh High School graduate. He has often seen in the area, especially the Fellowship House. Here is a recent Tweet about Smith being spotted:
So I just stopped by the Conshy Fellowship House and there was Torrey Smith shooting hoops. #Champion
