Minor to moderate flooding and high winds expected in Conshohocken area

The storm preparing to pass through the region is expected to bring “minor to moderate flooding” according to the Borough of Conshohocken and winds that could top 40 mph. Areas to note are along the Schuylkill River and the Plymouth Creek.

Below is the announcement from the Borough of Conshohocken:

The Borough of Conshohocken has activated its severe weather response. All Police, Fire, Public Services, and EMS have met and confirmed a plan of action if issues occur due to potential high winds and flooding. Residents living in areas prone to flooding should monitor the forecast and take action accordingly.

Emergency Services representatives have contacted residents along the Schuylkill River and Plymouth Creek regarding the forecasted storm. Currently, the forecast indicates areas from Norristown to Philadelphia will sustain minor to moderate flooding with winds in excess of 40 mph.
