Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services announces the opening of the Montgomery County Recovery Community Center

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Offices of Drug & Alcohol and Managed Care Solutions has announced that the Montgomery County Recovery Community Center (MCRCC) will open on January 16th in Norristown.

From the press release:

This drop-in recovery center is the first of its kind here in Montgomery County and will offer a variety of recovery support services for individuals and their families who have been affected by substance use disorders. Programs that will be offered include, but are not limited to Gateway to Work, SMART Recovery, Mindful Meditation, Women’s Trauma Group, and Family Education Programs, with more to be announced! These workshops are FREE to individuals and family members!

In addition to workshops and support groups, the Montgomery County Recovery Community Center will also offer opportunities to register for recreational activities and additional educational opportunities.

There will be an open house on Thursday, January 16th from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 601 DeKalb Street (Suite 1) in Norristown with a ribbon-cutting ceremony taking place at 1:30 p.m.
