On August 14th, Montgomery County’s COVID-19 data hub reports that there were 44 new cases of Coronavirus in the county. That brings the total number of cases countywide since the start of the pandemic to 10,146.
No new deaths were reported and the total number of confirmed deaths since the start of the pandemic remains at 823.
The 14-day PCR positivity rate as of August 7th is 2.76%. Having this number below 5% is considered to have the virus under control. It has been under 5% since June 18th.
