New name for planned Goat’s Beard location in Conshohocken

Regular readers will know that we have published a handful of articles covering the approval process that The Goat’s Beard successfully went through to open a location in Conshohocken (Whitemarsh Township). The Goat’s Beard has existing locations in Wayne and Manayunk, along with a sister restaurant named Mia Ragazza in Manayunk.

The Goat’s Beard sought approvals in Whitemarsh Township for the addition of an outdoor seating area and the transfer of the liquor license into the township. All of the paperwork for this and presentations referred to its as a location for The Goat’s Beard. For example, the entity that was created to own the liquor license is named The Goat’s Beard III, LLC.

A week ago, the Instagram page for The Goat’s Beard posted a photo of the interior construction underway and announced that the name of the restaurant will be The Daisy Tavern. Daisy is the name of the goat that serves as The Goat’s Beard mascot. The Instagram post also shared that there will be 120 outside seats and 130 inside. No other information was provided, but a website and social media accounts are promised for May.

The location is the Spring Mill Creative Campus at 1100 East Hector Street. The space was previously a restaurant named Cafe Zoe, that mainly served the office tenants.

We will work on finding out more.
