Blackfish’s Chip Roman was on NBC10’s 10! Show recently cooking Yellowtail Kingfish Crudo.

Josh Lawler, 31, who grew up in Conshohocken, is opening a restaurant, The Farm and Fisherman, in Philadelphia.

TITLE FIGHT, from Kingston, PA, has signed to SideOneDummy Records and are planning the release of their debut album in late spring of this year. The album was produced by Walter Schreifels (Gorilla Biscuits, Rival Schools, Quicksand) and Engineered by Will Yip at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, PA. The foursome was in Conshy for two weeks in December, 2010.

Henry Racich’s The Bowing Show kicked off last Thursday night at Totaro’s to a packed house.  The show will be every Thursday night at 9:00 p.m. live from Totaro’s or you can catch it on the radio at ESPN 950 AM.

The Whitemarsh Boat Club is offering an 8-session “Learn to Erg” series to introduce people to the sport of rowing and use of the indoor, rowing machine (the “ergometer”). The class is $200 and will run Mon & Wed evenings, beginning at 7 pm, from Jan 31-Feb 23. Participants in the Learn to Erg series will receive a discount and priority access for WBC’s spring Learn to Row sessions on the water.

Matt Ramey, a trainer at Conshohocken Health and Fitness Club, ate 51 Baggataway’s BBQ wings this past Saturday.

In other gluttonous news, “Qwazy” from Conshohocken qualified for the 19th Annual Wing Bowl by winning an event in Downingtown.

The Outbound Station has introduced a new line of pastries.

MTV will be in Conshy tomorrow to tape a practice session of the Philadelphia Passion at the Suburban Sports & Training Center.

The Daily Grind’s Jerome Robinson is training the Philadelphia Soul’s Ryan Vena (QB).

NBC10’s Jillian Mele, who lives in Conshy, has a series of one minute fitness segments on NBC10 Non-Stop.  She taped a bunch of them with Mission Fitness‘ Stephanie Haas.

LeRoux School of the Arts just doesn’t offer Zumba, aerobics and cardio kickboxing, they also have an upcoming Digital Photography Class.  Sign-up ends January 31st. Class is held Sunday, February 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for $200.  Includes handouts, free software, course instruction, and refreshments.
