The first Saturday Farmers Market was held this past weekend.  Attendance was decent, but not great.  The biggest complaint I hear about the market is that people can not attend on Fridays due to work.  More people need to attend the Saturday market to justify the argument that it should be moved to Saturdays.  The attendance this past Saturday was less than on Friday.  Regarding vendors, the more people that attend, the more vendors we can get.  Vendors do not want to participate in a poorly attended market.  So come out people!  Markets will continue every Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The next Saturday market will be held on August 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

So I don’t get 25 emails about BBQ at the Farmers Market.  A hot food vendor has become an ongoing struggle.  We have a vendor that wants to do it.  Montgomery County has the toughest Farmers Market rules in the state.  This has created issues not only at our market, but throughout the county in regards to hot food vendors.  It is being worked on weekly and the vendor has gone through numerous steps only to learn of another roadblock.  Not sure what is going to happen, but it finally appears that the Montco Health Department realizes there is an issue that needs to be worked out in regards to their regulations in general.  Keep you posted.

NBC10 “Lets Do Lunch” filmed at Totaro’s last week.  The segment airs today.  I will post it once it becomes available. Here is a link to the video from when Blackfish was featured.
