O’Neill Properties Proposing 619 Apartments on River Front

Last night O’Neill Properties appeared before the Planning Commission to request a conditional use in regards to a proposed apartment (potentially condos) community at 401-403 Washington Street in Conshohocken.  Part of the community would fall within Whitemarsh Township.  The community would have 619 units across four buildings.  The plan is to build the community in phases.

The request had to due with the development falling within a flood plain and representatives from O’Neill testified on how they designed the community to minimize any impact.

The Planning Commission voted to make a positive recommendation to Borough Council with a few stipulations, mostly having to do with insuring that the rain gardens are moved outside the 100′ strip (which the Borough will control) and connecting the trail to the existing trail system.

This is just one step in the approval process for the project.  So we will keep you updated at it moves forward.
