Owners Brad and Bob – 8 East

Owners of 8 East – Brad Craig (pictured left) and Bob Storti (pictured right).

How did you come to live and/or work in Conshohocken?

(Brad) – I started 8 East with my best friend Bob, who was from the area.

(Bob) – I grew up in the area and when I had the opportunity to revamp the space formally occupied by Toads, I partnered with Brad to create 8 East.

Tell us about your restaurant or bar….

We worked over four years doing the build out almost exclusively ourselves.  What we created is a fun place with fabulous happy hour specials, an extensive list of draft beers, great food and on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights we have dancing on the 2nd floor.

What is your favorite dish or drink at your work?

(Brad) – I love spicy food and I try to eat relatively healthy, so definitely the Buffalo Chicken Salad!

(Bob) – Our quesadillas.

Besides something from your place, what is your favorite dish or drink in Conshohocken?

(Brad) – The chicken parm from Totaro’s is fantastic.

(Bob) – The calamari from Pepperoncini is incredible.

What are you involved in outside of work?

We both work during the day doing electrical and mechanical work for Brad’s father business, Power Electric.

(Brad) – When not at my day job or at 8 East, I enjoy going to the gym, relaxing and playing with my dog Dolce.

(Bob)  – I feel like I am always at work, so when I have the opportunity to relax I try to catch up on TV shows and movies and play with my dog Diesel.

Dream locale to open a restaurant/bar (don’t say Conshohocken)?

We would love to open somewhere out west and call it 8 West!
